Keara Burton is a freelance film editor currently working in Los Angeles, CA. Originally from the suburbs just outside of Seattle, she grew up making short films with her friends and playing make believe at the beach. She received her BFA in Motion Design from Cornish College of the Arts before coming to terms with her desire to pursue film as a career. In 2017 she moved to Los Angeles where she earned her MFA in Film Editing from the American Film Institute. Since then she has edited four feature films in addition to several short films, all while spending a 2 year stint at Blumhouse Productions as an in-house post-PA.
Her feature editing credits include: Survival Skills, 2020 (Stacy Keach, Vayu O’Donnell); Double Walker, 2021; Linoleum (Jim Gaffigan and Rhea Seahorn) directed by Colin West, which is expected to release in 2022.
